Tablature Pros and Cons

It is much easier for me to read tablature than normal music sheets. Now I am practicing Asturias with classical guitar and I read normal music sheets. It is controversial if we should/shouldn’t use tablature to play the guitar because it omits some important information.
I love tablature and I think it will be easier for me. But I want to read both tabs and normal music sheets.

Pros

Faster and Easier

The biggest point of reading tablature is fast and easy. When I read normal music sheets, I have to read what the tone is and where to play on the guitar. With tablature, it’s not necessary. Also, when I play chords, I am often confused and need some time to see the fingering. Tablature shows one “right” position.

Cons

No Variation

On the online guitar lesson I took today, my teacher told me several options to play certain phrases. If I only read tablature, there would be no room to find other options. Some of them may be easier or better for me to play the song. The tablature does not allow me to think about those options.

No Phrase

Tablature mainly shows only fingerings and positions. To play better, it is critically important to think of how it sounds like music, including phrasing
