I am going to take the test to be National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter this year again. I did not pass it last year and I hope I will pass this time. Usually, it is held in August, but due to COVID-10, the test will be in September this year.

Outline of the Test

The test to be National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter is held annually and it has qualifications for various languages.
This test has two steps:
Paper based test and Interview test
Only who passed the paper test will take the interview test on the other day
Subjects:
On the Paper based test, there are four subjects;
Language skill, Japanese history, Japanese Geography, General knowledge about Japan and world, Knowledge of National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter
Passing all four tests is mandatory.
Wikipedia explains the outline and qualification, but is not translated into other languages. The second link is official web site too.

My Test Taking Experience of Last Year

I had thought of taking the test for many years and last year was the first time to take it. Unfortunately I did not passed Japanese history, geography and general knowledge.

Study Plans

In summer vacation, I am going to study for the test. I will take the past tests of five years at least. I am wondering to post my note or writing here as well to motivate myself and introduce Japan.
