クラブで英語あそびをしています。新しくどのような遊びをしようと話し合うと、「あっち向いてほい」をしてみたいという意見が出ました。これは日本で生まれた遊びなので、英語でしようと思うと翻訳が必要になります。

まず、2人でじゃんけんを行う。その勝敗が決まった直後、「あっち向いてホイ!」の掛け声の後、負けた方は上下左右のいずれか一方へ顔を向け、勝った方は上下左右のいずれか一方を指差す。顔を向けた方向と指を差した方向が一致すると指を差した方の勝ちとなり、一致しなかった場合じゃんけんからやり直しとなる。

英語にするとこんな感じでしょうか。

First, two people play rock-paper-scissors. Soon after we find the result, the winner shouts “Look over there!” and directs one direction, from up, down, right, and left. If the direction in which the face is turned and the direction in which the finger is pointed are the same, the person who points the finger wins, and if they do not match, the game starts over from rock-paper-scissors.

もっと簡単にすると

Do janken first.
The winner points one direction, shouting “Look over there.”
The loser turned his/her face.
If the directions are the same, the winner get one point, and if it is not the same, the game starts from janken.
