少し前になりますが、2年連続で山陰ギターコンクールに参加しました。アマチュアのギターコンクールで、今年も中級の部に参加しました。ジュリアーニのソナタ第１番、ロンドアレグレットを演奏しました。
年明けに練習をはじめ、本番に向けておよそ5か月間練習を続けてきました。技術的な課題を少しずつ克服していきました。また、右手も使って消音をすることもできるようになってきました。表現面では、メロディーの音色をそろえることや、フレーズによって意図をして音色を変えること、和音の進行や副旋律の流れも考えながら演奏することができるようになってきました。
本番はとても緊張して、演奏している曲がとても短く、どこか飛ばしたのではないかと感じるほどでした。それくらい集中していた時間だったのかなと思います。普段はミスをしないところでのミスもありました。
それでも音楽を届けたいという気持ちが通じたのか、奨励賞を受賞することができました。これまでの練習やレッスン・様々な人とのかかわりのおかげでの受賞です。公民館の講座の補助や、ギタークラブの運営など、徐々にギターを通じた人の輪も多くなっているので、その中でも自分の演奏レベルも上げられるように今後も精進していきます。
A while ago, I participated in the San’in Guitar Competition for the second year in a row. It is an amateur guitar competition, and this year, I participated in the intermediate division. I performed Giuliani’s Sonata No. 1, Rondo Allegretto.
I started practicing at the beginning of the year and continued for about five months leading up to the competition. I gradually overcame technical challenges and became more proficient in using my right hand for damping. In terms of expression, I learned to match the tone of the melody, intentionally change the tone color according to different phrases, and consider the progression of chords and the flow of secondary melodies while playing.
During the performance, I was very nervous, and the piece I played was quite short, making me wonder if I had skipped parts. It was such an intense and concentrated moment. Although I made some mistakes, even in places where I usually don’t make mistakes, I believe my desire to convey the music must have come through.
Despite that, I was fortunate to receive an encouragement award. It was thanks to the practice, lessons, and interactions with various people. With the support of the local community center and the operation of the guitar club, the circle of people connected through the guitar is gradually expanding. In that environment, I will continue to strive to improve my playing skills in the future.
